Can You Think With Your Heart?

Is there really a heart-brain axis? I hadn't known until this weekend. How amazing! This newly discovered pathway has now shown that the heart is the body’s third brain, containing approximately 40,000 neurons that can sense, feel, learn, and remember!
Similar to the gut-brain axis, the heart and brain are also closely connected. The heart sends messages to the brain about what it needs, how the body feels (hello, love) and more. When the heart is not in optimal condition, mental wellness problems may manifest and be misunderstood as issues with the brain, when they are actually originating from the heart. How amazing is our body!
How do we make sure this organ is well supported? While our in Anaheim this weekend, at a mental wellness symposium, I learned! We know a whole foods diet and exercise, of course. And deep breathes, people! Stress is terrible for our hearts. But how can we supplement for our heart, specifically when it comes to our brain health?

If you want to see what I take for a daily heart supplement, please click affiliate link below. It is by far the best I have seen on the market which is why it's a part of my every day routine. Michelle Fondin of The Chopra Center explains that the fourth chakra is at the center of the seven chakras with three below and three above. "This is the area where physical and spiritual meet. The fourth chakra, also referred to as the heart chakra, is located at the center of the chest and includes the heart, cardiac plexus, thymus gland, lungs, and breasts. It also rules the lymphatic system."
Open up that heart!
