Master Your Microbiome
To master something is to gain control of; to overcome. Our gut microbiome is made up of all different microbes, bacteria, viruses, fungi, archaea, and protista – all small but mighty. We’ve known that there’s bacteria in and on the body since around 1670 when Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, the father of microbiology, built his own microscopes and caught the first glimpse of these little guys in his own poop. Why do we want to gain control of our gut microbiome? To overcome illness, both mental and physical.
Fantastic fact: Only 10% of our cells are human! The rest? Microbes. That means that 90% of the cells in or on our bodies belong to microbes – single celled organisms that are too small to be seen by the human eye. We’re made up of 10 trillion human cells and 100 trillion microbial cells. It has been suggested that humans are superorganisms, which means we’re dependent on other organisms to survive and that our inside environment may be a mirror of the ecosystem outside.
Do you see why it's so important that we have these gut flora flourishing at all times?
Here is just a short list of what can be affected by gut dysbiosis:
Absorption of Nutrients
Blood Sugar Imbalances
Lack of Energy
...and much, much more!
Now that I have your attention, how to we fix this? Is eating well enough? Do I need a probiotic? What kind? What about just fermented foods and beverages? How will I know what to eat when?
Since I am trained in this "new" science (that actually dates back to 400BC), I want to make sure you get the information you need for your specific body in more than just a blog post. This is why I created the "Master Your Microbiome" program. I want each and every one of you to really discover how good your body and mind can feel.
And rest assured, if you are not feeling any of the above, you will. All disease begins in the gut and if you are not taking care of yours properly, dis-ease will come. Why wait for that?
For more information, see below and join the others who are ready to detox bad bacteria and refill good flora following a simple and proven plan! We start September 9th.
