Any advice on starting and sticking with a fitness routine? I'm not a naturally athletic/active person (I'd much rather be on the couch with a good book, haha) but I do love walking and hiking. My problem is establishing a routine for doing this daily, either with or without my four kiddos. Any ideas are appreciated, thanks!

My husband and I keep a small calendar on the fridge and give ourselves a star sticker every day we work out as silly as that sounds. It can sometimes be a little competition between us to see who did the best each month. Maybe if you get the kids involved and make a physical fitness chart and make it like a game for them. Also, if you want some time to workout without the kiddos, I always finds it helps to have some friends that also have the same goal and make a commitment to meet them. I hope this helps!
Lauren, great question! I think carving out some time for yourself is best to keep you on a schedule, knowing with 4 kids you only have that time really helps you get it done when you need to! Maybe a morning walk on weekdays and family hikes on the weekends. It's also important to add some resistance training in to help built strength and rev up metabolism. Do some squats and tricep dips while on your walk! Or a push up contest with your husband!
I love the idea of the calendar, Heather! A little healthy competition is a great motivator! Finding a buddy to workout with is great for accountability.
One of my favorite ways to stay on track when I can't get outdoors or hit the gym is 30 Day Fitness Challenges. Get your kids involved with that, too! My oldest out-squated me last night and I loved it!
